Katie + Dillon // a summer wedding at Charlottesville's Wool Factory

For precisely one year, I lived across the street from the Wool Factory. I moved in right as the restoration was being completed, and I was so excited to eventually photograph a wedding here. I mean, just look at it. It has so much character! And despite having so many beautiful venues in town, we really don’t have any epic industrial ones quite like this. Unfortunately, I moved in one week into March 2020, so… that didn’t happen. But I’ve been dreaming of it ever since. So when Katie and Dillon mentioned getting married here, I was so stoked.

As soon as I showed up under perfect lightly cloudy blue June skies, I knew this day was going to be that dream. Every detail was so beautiful, their ceremony in the courtyard under string lights, and sunset portraits over the river under dramatic cloudy skies. Couldn’t have asked for a better first wedding at the Wool Factory.
